The short version

Hotline Navigator does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. Period.

Data collection

Hotline Navigator collects zero data from its users. The application does not include any analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or tracking of any kind. There are no cookies, no fingerprinting, no usage metrics, and no phone-home behavior.

Network connections

Hotline Navigator connects only to Hotline servers and trackers that you explicitly choose to connect to. These connections use the Hotline protocol and are made directly between your device and the server in question. We do not operate, proxy, or monitor these connections.

Any data exchanged over these connections—chat messages, files, user profiles—is between you and the server operator. Hotline Navigator has no visibility into this data beyond what is displayed to you in the application.

Local storage

Hotline Navigator may store preferences, bookmarks, and connection history locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

Third-party services

Hotline Navigator does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.

Open source

Hotline Navigator is open source software. You can audit the entire codebase to verify these claims at github.com/fuzzywalrus/Hotline-Navigator.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here. Given that we collect no data, we don’t anticipate needing to change it.
